AutoRek review and pricing for bank, cash, CASS and securities reconciliation

Published 23 October 2026

autorek review

AutoRek is a strong shortlist choice for cash, CASS, safeguarding, payments and regulated reconciliations where control evidence matters as much as matching. It is less proven for derivatives, where Duco or Gresham are more commonly shortlisted. Pricing is quote only, so evaluate the subscription, implementation and renewal terms together. For a US bank's daily ACH, card, Fed and nostro work, a bank-side platform such as BankAutomation, from $1,200 a month, is the cheaper fit to price alongside it.

BankAutomation is our product. This assessment uses the AutoRek site checked in October 2026, acquisition coverage and attributed review evidence. It is a buying guide, not a hands-on benchmark. For direct competitor comparisons, read AutoRek vs Duco and Gresham vs AutoRek; the broader shortlist is in AutoRek alternatives.

CASS and safeguarding Strong Dedicated solutions and built-in regulatory rulebooks Duco with configured regulatory logic
Payments and settlement Strong shortlist Processing, clearing, safeguarding and scheme fees are listed BankAutomation for US settlement accounts
Securities and hedge fund stocks Conditional Dedicated securities solution, but feed handling needs proof Gresham or Duco

What you are buying from AutoRek

Glasgow based AutoRek markets financial control software across asset management and capital markets, banking, insurance and payments. Its site names AutoRek, AutoRek ARIA, described as an intelligence engine for financial control, AutoRek MION and RegToolKit. Ask which products your proposal includes rather than assuming the platform name covers every capability.

Sector scope matters. Asset management includes securities, cash, data management, CASS and regulatory reporting. Banking lists loan, payment and RTP reconciliations, controls and reporting. Payments covers processing, clearing, settlement, safeguarding, finance and scheme fees. Insurance has remittance, receivables, reinsurer, IBA and MGA reconciliations and bordereaux reporting.

Named customers on its site include Aegon, eToro, Royal London, Stanlib, Howden and ClearBank. It displays an FTF News best reconciliation platform award and an ISO 27001 badge. These are useful diligence prompts, but neither customer logos nor an award establish how your exception queue will perform. Request a reference with comparable files and controls.

Is AutoRek good for your workload

Is AutoRek good for cash reconciliations?

Yes, cash reconciliation is a strong AutoRek use case, especially when bank to ledger matching sits inside a regulated control process. Its financial control focus suits statement matching, timing differences and sign-off. Test grouped settlements, charges and unresolved items on your own statements before deciding that the fit justifies the implementation.

Does AutoRek offer cash reconciliation software?

Yes. Cash reconciliations are explicitly listed under its asset management and capital markets solutions, alongside securities and CASS. Banking and payments have related reconciliation offerings. If your requirement is narrower, compare dedicated cash reconciliation software on the same statement and ledger files, including the work required to maintain matching rules.

Is AutoRek a good CASS reconciliation solution?

Yes, CASS is among its clearest fits because AutoRek markets dedicated CASS reconciliation and built-in regulatory rulebooks. That matters when client money calculations, reconciliations and audit evidence must agree. Confirm the applicable rulebook, update responsibilities and approval evidence in the proposal. UK CASS capability does not establish equivalent US regulatory coverage.

Is AutoRek good for derivatives reconciliations?

Treat AutoRek as a challenger for derivatives rather than the default. Its October 2026 site does not list derivatives as a dedicated solution. Duco and Gresham are more commonly shortlisted for this workload. Require a relevant reference and a demonstration using your trade economics, lifecycle events and counterparty data before committing.

Is AutoRek a good choice for stock reconciliations at a hedge fund?

Potentially, when stock reconciliation supports fund accounting or regulatory controls. AutoRek lists securities reconciliation, but a hedge fund should test prime broker, custodian and administrator feeds, position differences and corporate action effects. Gresham or Duco deserve comparison when frequent feed changes and analyst setup speed dominate the requirement rather than control reporting.

Pros and cons of AutoRek for securities reconciliation

The pros are a dedicated securities offering, financial control orientation and related cash, CASS and reporting capabilities. The cons are quote only pricing and setup complexity reported by reviewers, particularly for smaller organizations. Ask operations staff to configure a changed securities feed during evaluation, then inspect both the exceptions and approval evidence.

AutoRek features buyers ask about

Does AutoRek offer no-code configuration of reconciliation rules?

Yes, AutoRek claims no-code configuration owned by operations, not IT. That describes the intended user, not the effort needed to implement or govern rules. Ask an analyst to change a tolerance, test a grouping rule and obtain approval without vendor intervention. Include training and ongoing configuration responsibilities in the commercial scope.

What match rate does AutoRek claim for its reconciliation platform?

AutoRek claims 99%+ match rates attributed to AI. This is a vendor claim, not a guaranteed outcome for your files. Define the denominator, inspect false matches and separate automatic matching from manual clearance. A high headline rate is useful only if difficult exceptions remain visible and the approved rules preserve control.

Can AutoRek handle any data format for securities reconciliation?

AutoRek claims any data, any format, any scale. Treat that as positioning to validate, not proof that every securities file loads without preparation. Provide actual custodian and broker samples, including changed layouts and missing identifiers. Ask who maintains transformations and whether onboarding another format requires services or an additional commercial agreement.

Does AutoRek support real-time reconciliation at high volumes?

AutoRek markets hyper-scale real-time reconciliation, but that claim provides no throughput or latency figures. Establish your required arrival pattern, backlog recovery and exception visibility before testing. Have the vendor demonstrate the agreed workload in the deployment being quoted, including late files and replay behavior, rather than accepting an unrelated scale demonstration.

What the Grath acquisition changes for deployment

AutoRek acquired London based Grath on August 3, 2026, with terms undisclosed. Grath brings a multi-tenant SaaS reconciliation platform and Topa, embedded AI reconciliation infrastructure. The deployment choices now span enterprise private cloud for AutoRek core, multi-tenant SaaS through Grath and embedded delivery through Topa.

Ask the seller to name the contracted product and hosting model. Do not assume features, migration tooling, regulatory rulebooks or support terms are identical across those choices. For a renewal, request a written explanation of any proposed platform move and who owns data export, rule conversion and acceptance.

What AutoRek costs and how the quote is built

How much does AutoRek cost?

AutoRek does not publish prices; you need a quote. Gartner describes subscription pricing structured by features, number of users and volume of data processed. Implementation is scoped separately in existing public comparisons. Reviewers also flag cost and complexity for smaller organizations, so request a complete commercial schedule before comparing subscription totals.

Pricing driverWhat to request in writing
Features and modules Included products, regulatory rulebooks and optional capabilities
Users Named or concurrent access, reviewer seats and administrator access
Data volume Billable unit, counting method, replay treatment and overage terms
Reconciliations and feeds Included processes, source onboarding and change charges
Deployment Core private cloud, Grath SaaS or Topa embedded scope
Implementation Mappings, rule setup, testing, training and acceptance responsibilities
Renewal and exit Uplift terms, notice requirements and usable data exports

Gartner identifies features, users and data volume as subscription factors. The remaining rows are quote questions, not a published AutoRek tariff.
Finance executive at a desk reviewing software proposals alongside an annual budget

A 2021 Software Connect customer review reported cutting a client money reconciliation from two full time staff daily to around 15 minutes a day. That is one customer review, not a forecast for another institution. Your business case should measure your own preparation time, rule maintenance, false matches and remaining exception work.

Use reconciliation software pricing for category benchmarks, keeping scope differences visible. A close management subscription is a poor proxy for regulated reconciliation. For a renewal, ask for the same workload quoted without unused modules and compare the cost of keeping existing rules against the cost of rebuilding them elsewhere.

When a US bank should pick something else

Pick a bank-side platform when daily ACH, card, Fed and correspondent cash accounts dominate the brief. Evaluate ACH reconciliation software, Federal Reserve account reconciliation software and nostro reconciliation against the actual operations queue. The deciding evidence is whether staff can classify, route, age and resolve breaks using their existing reports.

BankAutomation publishes Operations at $1,200 a month, Platform at $3,900 and Institution at $9,500. Check the pricing page for included capacity and controls. It is a newer vendor without securities, CASS or regulatory reporting modules. Keep AutoRek for those workloads if it serves them well, and price the daily settlement slice separately.

How to evaluate AutoRek in a 30 day proof of concept

Step 01

Agree the acceptance evidence

Choose representative reconciliations and define required controls, timing and exception outputs. Include difficult periods, not only clean files. Agree who signs off the result.

Step 02

Make operations configure the rules

Have the intended users load sources, change mappings and test tolerances. Record where they need technical or vendor assistance and include that work in the quote.

Step 03

Run alongside the existing process

Compare open items, false matches, aged breaks and approval evidence. Test missing files, changed formats and replay, then export the evidence your reviewer needs.

Step 04

Review the order form before signing

Use approved document handling procedures if you chat with the order form PDF to read the vendor's renewal, termination and volume overage clauses. Verify every answer against the actual contract text.

Step 05

Decide on the workload you proved

Accept only the scope that passed. For a renewal, compare the retained implementation with a realistic migration plan. Carry unresolved controls and commercial terms into the decision record.
